I’m about to re-carpet my sons room and would like to give it a bit of sound proofing from downstairs. I was wondering would expensive underlay be suffice or will I need to buy something else? If I have to buy something else what would this be and how much would it cost. Many thanks

My Dad is building a sound room made from wood to play music and watch TV separate from the main house.

What would be the best material to use for most effective sound proofing?

Sound proofing my bedroom?

steviemoo asked:

I live in a first floor flat and the living room of the flat below is directly underneath my bedroom, which means I can hear the bastards’ TV when they decide to whack it on at 11pm. I’m thinking about getting some kind of sound proofing installed in the floor but know nothing about what options there are and how much they might cost. Any suggestions?
