The Barga Jazz Club reopened the doors this evening after the long summer layoff. The sound proofing inside the club makes the interior just too hot during the summer months and opening the windows is just not possible as the sound would travel right across Barga Vecchia and so the place is shut down from July until October. This evening all was back as it should be and the semi darkened rooms were buzzing with people pleased to get back into their club for the regular Friday night session. No particular band was booked for this evening as their were musicians literally queuing up to jump on the stage for the opening night Jazz Jam Session. The full program for the coming jazz season should be finalised shortly and will be published later on this week.
