Are You Up To Installing A Soundproof Ceiling?

The most difficult part of building a soundproof room is creating a soundproof ceiling, because it will require the installer to work upside-down while adding a frame, soundproofing materials, and drywall to the existing ceiling. A new soundproof ceiling will also reduce the height of the room to which it is added.

An easier way to solve the problem of unwanted noise bleeding into a lower room is to soundproof the floor of the room where the noise originates, but this is not always possible. Adding acoustical ceiling tiles to a room will help reduce noise from above, but the most effective way to create a soundproof ceiling is to put up resilient bars, But soundproofing materials between them, and cover them with a layer of drywall.
